What’s the position?
Our AML Quality Control (QC) Manager will be an integral part of our Compliance Team, reporting to the Director of AML.  The AML Quality Control Manager will develop and oversee the quality control function for the first and second lines of defense. This role is critical for ensuring investigations, escalations, recordkeeping, and procedures are followed in accordance with internal standards and regulatory expectations.


As an AML Quality Control (QC) Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing, implementing, and managing a risk-based QC program to assess the quality and consistency of AML alerts, investigations, customer due diligence, and escalations.  

  • Identifying control weaknesses, procedural gaps, and trends based on findings and partnering with relevant stakeholders to drive remediation and process improvements.

  • Performing quality reviews and delivering clear and actionable feedback.

  • Providing training and recommendations based on findings.

  • Collaborating cross departmentally to determine if risks are adequately identified, assessed, and managed.

  • Preparing and presenting reporting and metrics to leadership, highlighting key findings, trends, and remediation progress.

  • Serving as the subject matter expert for quality control standards and AML related procedures.



What are we looking for?

  • Strong understanding of BSA/AML Regulatory requirements, the Three Lines of Defense model, and industry best practices.

  • A candidate who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with a passion for the AML/BSA, sports, and casino gaming industries.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

  • At least 5 years of relevant AML/BSA experience in the Casino, Fintech, or Banking industries.

  • CAMS, CFE, or similar certification is a plus.

  • Previous experience leading, managing and overseeing quality control or quality assurance activities.

  • Strong investigative skills, sound judgement, and the ability to review and interpret financial data and activity

  • The ability to make accurate decisions and provide sound recommendations based on available evidence.

  • Demonstrated expertise in evaluating AML alerts, investigations, narratives, and supporting documentation.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deliver feedback constructively and effectively.

  • The ability to adapt to changing priorities and to thrive in a fast-paced work environment

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
