What’s the position?

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will implement test flows and plans that mimic different usability scenarios. The role requires an individual that’s dedicated to the customer’s experience, able to clearly voice and document issues and concerns within their testing remit, and is passionate about sports. You will be responsible for the quality, scope, and timeliness of all your deliverables. Because we operate with a startup mindset, we will be reliant on your skills, but also your passion and ownership over all aspects of your work.

As the Senior QA Engineer , your responsibilities will include:

  • Design, implement, execute and maintain automated scripts for web application (Playwright/Python) and mobile application (Appium/Python) based on project requirements and specification

  • Work closely with the QA team to identify and prioritize areas for automation and create a roadmap for automation projects

  • Participate in code reviews to ensure the quality and adherence to coding standards of automated test scripts

  • Ensure compatibility and consistency of application across different browsers, devices and platforms

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for automated test scripts, frameworks and processes

  • Conduct thorough regression testing and ensure the quality of software releases through automation testing

  • Perform root cause analysis for identified defects and work collaboratively with the development team to resolve issues

  • Collaborate with developers, product owners and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide input on testability and quality aspects

  • Optimize automated tests for efficiency and scalability

  • Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies and testing tools to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA process

  • Learn our application(s) inside and out and become subject matter expert

  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the QA team



What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is extremely well organized and willing to tackle problems with innovative ideas and solutions. We believe the perfect candidate isn’t interested in just what we’re building right now, but wants to understand where we’re going and how it impacts the customer to ensure everything we create moves us closer to our goal: delivering the best customer experience

Key skills required for this position:

  • 5+ years of experience in frontend automation testing (Playwright/Appium frameworks amongst)

  • Proficiency in Python is essential

  • Understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and knowledge of browser developer tools

  • Familiarity with mobile operating systems (iOS and Android) and understanding of mobile app development

  • Experience with version control systems such as Git for code repository management

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests into the development workflow

  • Experience in backend API automation testing is a plus

  • In-depth knowledge of quality assurance principles, best practices and testing standards

  • Strong analytical skills to identify patterns, trends and possible areas of improvement

  • Meticulous attention to detail in creating, executing and maintaining test scripts

  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies
