The Position:

FanDuel Sports Network is seeking a Director, Financial Reporting & Consolidations to join our dynamic accounting team. Reporting to the VP, Corporate Controller, this position will be responsible for drafting all internal and external reports for communication to our Shareholders, Lender group, Professional Sports Leagues (NBA, MLB, NHL), certain professional sports Team partners and any ad hoc reporting that is required as a part of our legal requirement. We are seeking a candidate with a transformational mindset who can help to create this process and work with the various stakeholders to create standard templates and consistent messaging for our user population. This role and the Team will work directly with executive leadership as well as our Communications Team to ensure timely and accurate reporting of information.

This position is hybrid in NYC or Southport, CT.

The Game Plan:
(What you will do)

  • Responsible for all aspects of the company’s financial reporting process, including, but not limited to, review of financial results and quarter end workpapers
  • Prepare materials to be used for various league (NBA/NHL/MLB) reporting
  • Preparation of Board, Shareholder, and Lender presentations
  • Provide various ad-hoc reporting to other 3rd parties with key stakes in the Company
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure consistency among financial and statistical information
  • Maintain and enhance documentation surrounding the internal controls over financial reporting of the Company
  • Coordination of support and procedure with external auditors
  • Collaborate closely with our outside Tax & Technical advisor to prepare the Company’s financial reports
  • Effectively manage, mentor, and train assigned staff

The Stats:
(What to bring)

  • BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting, Accounting degree preferred, CPA preferred.
  • 8+ years’ accounting experience and familiarity with areas of financial reporting, SEC reporting, public company experience.
  • Proven leadership experience, including prior supervisory responsibilities and the ability to lead teams through organizational change
  • Strong background in leading roles developing internal and external working relationships as well as experience with audit firm communications.
  • Ability to multi-task with attention to detail, accuracy and excellent follow up.
  • Solid understanding of general ledger systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel & PowerPoint.

The Company is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base compensation range for this role is $130,000 - $150,000.  Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates’ relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
