Position Summary
ProEnergy is seeking a Technical Procedure Writer that is responsible for creating, revising, and maintaining technical procedures that support the safe and efficient operation of power generation systems.
Location: Remote/Field
Essential Job Functions
- Write, edit, and maintain operating, maintenance, and emergency procedures for power plant systems.
- Convert engineering documents, vendor manuals, and technical data into clear step-by-step instructions.
- Ensure procedures follow standardized formatting and documentation practices.
Technical Collaboration
- Work with engineers and commissioning personnel to gather technical information.
- Participate in procedure walkthroughs and field verifications.
- Incorporate feedback from subject matter experts.
Qualifications
- 3–10 years of experience in power generation, nuclear, fossil, or combined-cycle plants.
- Experience with plant systems, operations, or maintenance documentation.
- Familiarity with procedure writing standards and technical documentation.
- Must have legal authority to permanently work in the U.S.
Additional Functions
- Strong technical writing and editing abilities.
- Ability to translate complex engineering concepts into clear instructions.
- Knowledge of plant systems (boilers, turbines, generators, electrical systems).
- Proficiency with document management software (SharePoint, Documentum, etc.).
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
