THE JOB:
At MGM Resorts International, our Enterprise Operations Accounting team manages the numbers that power the unforgettable guest experiences our properties are known for. As a Senior Accountant, you’ll bring accuracy, insight, and efficiency to our financial operations—helping ensure everything from services to utilities to maintenance contracts is tracked and accounted for with precision.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies
Complete balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accounting records remain accurate and compliant
Analyze data and provide timely, accurate reporting for business leaders
Support and implement accounting process improvements and internal controls
Partner with stakeholders across the company to ensure operational and financial needs are met
Contribute to projects that improve efficiency and enhance our accounting systems
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and gaming regulations, including SOX and anti-money laundering requirements
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
3+ years of relevant accounting or auditing experience
Bachelor's Degree or higher
Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices
Experience preparing and reviewing general ledger account reconciliations and financial reports
Strong Excel skills; familiarity with ERP systems a plus
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Clear, professional communication skills and the ability to partner with stakeholders at all levels
Hospitality, casino, or gaming industry experience preferred
