Position Summary
The Senior Supplier Quality & Supply Chain Systems Engineer is responsible for architecting and governing PROENERGY’s supplier performance, risk, and compliance frameworks to ensure predictable, resilient, and specification-compliant supply.
This role is strategically focused (approximately 70%) on the design and institutionalization of supplier performance systems, risk modeling, and governance processes, while maintaining appropriate supplier quality oversight (approximately 30%). The position serves as a senior individual contributor partnering cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Operations to drive data-driven supplier performance management across sites.

Position Responsibilities
Supply Chain Systems & Performance Architecture (Strategic Focus)
- Architect and own a comprehensive Supplier Performance Index (SPI) integrating quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness into a standardized, weighted evaluation model.
- Develop and maintain a structured Supply Chain Resiliency Score incorporating supplier risk factors such as geographic exposure, capacity constraints, and single-source dependencies.
- Design KPI architecture and governance for supplier performance, including OTD, PPM, COPQ, lead-time variability, and cost performance indicators.
- Own supplier scorecard methodology, weighting logic, segmentation criteria, and performance escalation thresholds.
- Lead development and continuous optimization of the Supplier Quality & Supply Chain Manual aligned to engineering standards and operational requirements.
- Define and execute the supplier performance digitalization roadmap leveraging ERP data and business intelligence tools.
- Support ERP integration initiatives and supplier master data governance.
- Support cross-site standardization of supplier performance processes and reporting.
Supplier Quality & Compliance Oversight (Operational Focus)
- Oversee supplier compliance to engineering specifications, manufacturing standards, and quality system requirements.
- Lead supplier qualification and audit activities including pre-approval assessments and periodic performance reviews.
- Review and approve First Article Inspections (FAI) and fixed process validations utilizing a fit-for-purpose PPAP-lite framework.
- Drive structured root cause analysis and corrective action processes for supplier non-conformances.
- Ensure disciplined supplier change management and configuration control compliance.
- Partner with Engineering and Supply Chain to support new supplier onboarding and technical issue resolution.
Governance & Continuous Improvement
- Establish a standardized supplier performance review cadence with data-driven escalation and recovery mechanisms.
- Provide analytical insights to leadership supporting sourcing strategy, risk mitigation, and long-term supplier development.
- Drive systemic process improvements that enhance supply continuity, performance predictability, and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in supplier quality engineering, supply chain systems, or manufacturing quality within a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience developing supplier performance frameworks, KPI architectures, and governance models.
- Experience operating within ISO 9001 or comparable quality management systems.
- Strong analytical capability translating operational data into actionable performance insights.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and business intelligence tools.
- Travel: Less than 20%, primarily domestic.
- US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.

Desired Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related field strongly preferred.
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or equivalent.
- Experience implementing structured supplier scorecards and risk modeling frameworks.
- Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing or lifecycle service operations.
- Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent continuous improvement training.
