About Flutter Functions

The Flutter Functions division is a key component of Flutter Entertainment, responsible for providing essential support and services across the organization. The division encompasses various corporate functions, including finance, legal, human resources, technology, and more, ensuring seamless operations and strategic alignment throughout the company.

Role Overview:

 

We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Senior Product Owner to shape and deliver value in a newly formed Value Stream (Cross Product Promotions, a rewards engine that allow brands to configure market leading promotional mechanics at scale, and to integrate these into their local brand ecosystem Promotions). This role combines the responsibilities of a senior product owner with coaching and mentoring of other product owners, offering the opportunity to influence both product outcomes and team development.  

 

You’ll act as the critical link between Product and Technology, using lean and agile practices to accelerate delivery of high-impact solutions. Your work will span from ensuring your squad(s) is delivering as per the product direction to coaching other Product Owners in your value stream, helping them thrive and grow within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. 

 

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

Coaching & Mentoring  

  • Coach a team of Product Owners, supporting their development, performance, and wellbeing. 

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and knowledge sharing across the Product Owner function. 

  • Play a key role in recruiting, onboarding, and mentoring Product talent. 

  • Contribute to evolving and embedding best practices within the Product Delivery Lifecycle. 

Product Ownership 

  • Own and evolve product backlogs across key initiatives within the Value Stream, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs. 

  • Translate strategic objectives and stakeholder requirements into clear, actionable user stories and product plans. 

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, architecture, Product Management and Brands to deliver high-quality, value-driven products. 

  • Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, and show-and-tell sessions, ensuring a clear understanding of priorities and outcomes. 

  • Continuously assess product performance and adjust plans based on feedback, insights, and changing priorities. 

  • Balance short-term delivery with long-term vision, considering technical feasibility, commercial impact, and user value. 

  • Manage cross-team dependencies and ensure smooth integration of services. 

 

Skills, Capabilities & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Demonstrated experience in defining and translating business requirements into high-impact product outcomes. 

  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to coach and mentor team members. 

  • Deep understanding of Agile principles and practical experience applying them across multiple methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban). 

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation. 

  • A strategic mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail. 

  • Experience working in a multi-product and/or Value Stream-aligned environment. 

  • Understanding of the Sports Betting or Gaming industry (highly advantageous). 

  • Prior experience managing or mentoring Product Owners or cross-functional teams. 

  • Strong commercial acumen and customer-centric mindset. 

  • Resilient, adaptive, and able to lead through ambiguity and change.
