What’s the position?
The Senior Director – Growth will be a key strategic leader responsible for driving the next evolution of organic growth at Hard Rock Digital across both Casino and Sportsbook. This role will oversee SEO content, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and community initiatives — with a mission to scale visibility, engagement, and activations through organic and emerging channels.
This leader will define and execute strategies that maximize our presence across traditional and next-generation discovery ecosystems — from Google Search to AI-driven LLM surfaces — while ensuring that the content and on-site experience drive meaningful conversion. They will also guide experimentation across growth levers, including testing frameworks for both organic and paid CRO performance, and build a new Community function that fosters brand engagement and player connection..
Working cross-functionally with Product, Analytics, Brand, CRM, and Media Partnerships, the Senior Director – Growth will create scalable, defensible growth systems that deepen audience engagement and expand Hard Rock Digital’s reach across all touchpoints.
The ideal candidate combines analytical precision with creative curiosity — someone who understands how to balance performance and experimentation, efficiency and innovation, and near-term results with long-term visibility in a rapidly evolving discovery landscape.
Key Responsibilities
SEO, Content & Visibility Optimization
Oversee the SEO and content teams responsible for both Casino and Sportsbook vertical, ensuring best-in-class on-site structure, technical SEO, and editorial excellence.
Partner with the Media Partnerships and Affiliate teams to coordinate strategies that enhance Hard Rock Digital’s organic visibility and authority across key verticals.
Identify opportunities to leverage content partnerships, earned placements, and integrations that strengthen brand reach and organic performance.
Design, document, and optimize scalable content workflows for digital products, ensuring seamless execution and operational excellence within a highly regulated industry.
Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)
Lead all CRO initiatives across owned digital platforms, optimizing conversion paths for both organic and paid traffic. There is currently 1 Growth Developer attributed to this.
Collaborate with Product and Analytics teams to develop data-informed testing roadmaps that improve player activation, retention, and engagement rates.
Translate CRO insights into scalable frameworks for ongoing improvement and cross-channel efficiency.
Community Building & Engagement Innovation
Build and lead a new Community team responsible for developing vibrant, player-centric communities on owned channels (e.g., Discord) and coordinating with influencer and CRM initiatives.
Foster programs that deepen user engagement, drive advocacy, and create organic amplification of product experiences.
Partner with Brand and CRM teams to align messaging, engagement, and lifecycle activation strategies.
Cross-Functional Partnership & Leadership
Serve as a connective tissue between Growth, Product, Analytics, Brand, CRM, and Media teams to ensure unified growth objectives and measurement frameworks.
Collaborate with Analytics to evolve growth attribution, performance dashboards, and experimentation methodologies.
Represent organic growth at the marketing leadership level, contributing to overall go-to-market strategy and performance forecasting.
What We’re Looking For
7+ years of experience in digital growth, SEO, or content strategy — ideally within iGaming, sports, entertainment, or other performance-driven industries.
Proven success leading multi-channel organic growth strategies that deliver measurable traffic, conversion, and engagement improvements.
Strong understanding of SEO best practices, technical SEO, and the evolving role of LLMs, AI-driven search, and emerging discovery ecosystems.
Proven ability to design, implement, and optimize content workflows for digital products, ideally within an iGaming or highly regulated industry.
Deep experience with CRO and experimentation frameworks for web and app environments, including A/B testing and data analysis.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience motivating and developing high-performing teams across multiple functions.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and quality — particularly in conveying complex concepts in an engaging and accessible manner.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions related to content performance and user engagement.
Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders, including product and executive teams.
Continued interest in learning more about the evolving landscape of online casino gaming and how to best present these products to an audience.
Detail-oriented and proactive, with a strong sense of accountability, ownership, and a bias for action.
