What’s the position?

As Director of Retail Sportsbook Operations, you will lead the delivery of operational excellence to our retail sportsbook portfolio across multiple states and properties. This role requires a seasoned leader who can drive growth, monitor and optimize performance, communicate effectively with the executive team, and ensure all our partners experience the best service possible from Hard Rock Digital.

In this role you will:

• Lead the continued operation and optimization of retail sportsbook operations across all serviced properties

• Drive P&L accountability for retail sportsbook vertical, ensuring revenue targets and profitability goals

• Serve as the executive liaison between Hard Rock Digital and property leadership teams

• Champion omnichannel initiatives that bridge retail and digital customer experiences

• Lead and mentor a high-performing team to support in the delivery of our retail sportsbook service

• Establish industry-leading operational standards and best practices across all retail locations

What will you do?

• Support the execution, training, and launches of Retail sportsbook operations.

• Embed within your team a complete understanding of sportsbook operations and customer expectations.

• Support the creation and execution of operational plans for Retail Sportsbook.

• Foster and manage relationships with existing property stakeholders, third-party vendors, and internal teams at Hard Rock Digital.

• Immerse yourself in our analytics and leverage these to provide penetrating insights and recommendations.

• Address tech, process, and trading issues impacting sportsbook operations.

• Prioritize customer experience, coordinating teams to mitigate negative impacts.

• Understand the life cycle of sportsbook issues from query to fulfillment.

• Understand compliance regulations and service level agreements.

What are we looking for?

We need people who love sports, have an analytical mindset, and show composure to work in a high-paced environment.

To be a success in this role you will have:

• 3+ years of progressive leadership in retail sportsbook

• Proven track record of launching and scaling sports betting operations across different regulatory jurisdictions

• Strong P&L management capabilities with demonstrated ability to drive insight and operational improvement from the business data

• Exceptional executive presence with ability to influence at all organizational levels

• Deep knowledge of the sports betting industry, regulatory landscape, and compliance requirements

• Strategic thinking balanced with operational execution and bias for action

• Gaming license eligibility in multiple jurisdictions

• Willingness to travel as needed to support property operations

• Flexibility with working hours to meet the business needs

• A deep understanding of the customer and empathy with their perspective

• The presence, capability and communication skills to inspire and motivate your team
