Your Impact

As the Safer Gambling Team Lead, you’ll play a critical role in protecting our customers and upholding Entain’s commitment to safer gambling. Leading the day-to-day delivery of our harm minimisation program, you’ll ensure every interaction is handled with care, empathy, and integrity, creating a safe and supportive experience for our customers.

You’ll lead and develop a high-performing team, driving quality, consistency, and continuous improvement. Collaborating with stakeholders across the business, you’ll identify trends, share insights, and strengthen our safer gambling practices.From overseeing interventions and escalations to shaping how we respond to risk, you’ll ensure we meet regulatory requirements while continuing to evolve, directly impacting customer wellbeing and business integrity.

This is a high-impact leadership role with strong visibility across the organisation, offering the opportunity to influence change, build leadership capability, and deepen your expertise in a growing and highly important area of the business.

A Day in the Life:

This role is based in Brisbane, working standard hours from Monday to Friday. We embrace a flexible hybrid model, combining in-office collaboration with the freedom to work from home. Here’s a snapshot of your day:

• Lead and develop a high-performing Safer Gambling team, driving a strong customer focus through coaching and performance management. 
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring interactions and interventions align with policy and regulatory requirements. 
• Act as the primary escalation point for complex safer gambling matters. 
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation, aligning global initiatives with local market needs. 
• Assess and investigate customer accounts and complaints, identifying risks and improvement opportunities.
• Deliver accurate reporting, insights, and training, to support governance and capability. 

Your Strengths:

• Experience in regulated or compliance-driven environments, ideally within wagering.
• Strong people leadership, with experience leading large or diverse teams.
• Knowledge of safer gambling or harm minimisation, with a passion for customer wellbeing.
• Strong knowledge of the ANZ gambling landscape, including regulation, customer behaviour, and emerging risks.
• Excellent stakeholder management, building relationships across internal and external teams.
• Calm and empathetic, handling sensitive situations with sound judgment and a customer-first mindset.
