We are looking for a creative and hard-working Retail Automations Developer to join our fantastic Retail Technology team, part of our wider Infrastructure Tribe!

This is a great opportunity for a Software Developer who wishes to upskill in Automation Testing and robotic process automation, using tools like IBM Watson, UI Path Orchestrator and Microfocus UFT. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in software development and testing, including methodologies, processes, and tools.

Your team

This is a key role within the Retail Technology team, a diverse and exciting team covering all areas of technology within our UK & Irish Retail estate. You will be central to ensuring the development of quality process automation solutions to assist the Retail Systems and the Retail Technology Team (internal and 3rd parties).

What you’ll do

Reporting to the Product Delivery Manager, you will work closely with Product Owners, other Automation Developers and Support Teams to find opportunities for automation, analyse requirements, build automations, test the automation flows and maintain this over time. We will provide training in UI Path, IBM Watson and Microfocus UFT to allow you to succeed in the role.

Key responsibility will also include...

• Design, Develop and Maintain test and automation scripts using Micro Focus UFT, UI Path and IBM Watson test / automation tools.

• Understanding the business need and the flow of a manual process to turn into an RPA task.

• Testing Retail products including developing test and automation plans and scenarios in accordance with User Stories, as well as tracking and reporting results

• Working closely with the stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered to the highest quality standards.

• Collaborate with internal development teams and 3rd party vendors to confirm version releases.

• Troubleshooting test environment and application configuration issues.

How you’ll do it

• Proficient knowledge of software development and testing cycles.

• ISTQB certified tester (or similar)

• Experience using Microfocus UFT or similar test automation tools.

• Experience using UIPath Orchestrator or similar process automation tools.
