Job Description

The Gaming Project Manager is a highly varied and key role within the Programme & Gaming teams You will be working across multiple Sports and Gaming brands, and have responsibilities across the full range of business activities; planning, business development, implementation and customer evaluation. This role will be a key support for the Gaming Director and the entire Gaming Leadership Team.

As Project Manager, you will plan and deliver projects and business change initiatives seamlessly within the Gaming organisation. Adding tangible value, you will ensure there are clear objectives, aligned with our strategic goals and budget priorities.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Gaming business to define the scope of strategic projects, gaining stakeholder approval of delivery plans and approach
  • Clearly define roles and responsibilities of all functional contributors
  • Stand up projects and programmes with the necessary governance framework ensuring decision making forums established to drive forward at pace
  • Working with the Senior Gaming Project Manager, Gaming team, Programme Director, and PMO team to ensure we have clear business cases for activity, that clearly demonstrate how activity aligns with and/or enables delivery of our strategic objectives
  • Through a customer and people lens, contribute to risk mitigation discussions for project deliverables
  • Work to ensure change and transformation impacting our people and customers is insight and data led, protecting our customers from disruptive change
  • Conduct detailed dependency mapping in support of project delivery roadmap
  • Ensure the successful outcomes for each initiative are clear, with KPIs agreed to measure success
  • Build engagement and comms plans as required, ensuring buy-in and commitment from our stakeholders, decision makers and key contributors

Govern and deliver the project

  • Regularly update all stakeholders as per agreed cadence
  • Clearly define roles and responsibilities for each project
  • Apply structured methodology and lead programme & business initiative activities
  • Setup up project governance ensuring both leadership group as well as senior regional stakeholders are aware of the risks and able to make effective decisions.
  • Present transparent reporting and metrics on the performance of the project to enable intervention, removal of obstacles, make priority calls and deliver target outcomes
  • Monitor and detect at-risk initiatives, producing proposals to becoming back on plan
  • Define a communication plan and set up a meeting cadence for each project
  • Build budgets and monitor spend
  • Ensure all governance is inputted into Monday.com

Business case development and prioritisation:

  • Collaborate with the Gaming leadership team to ensure clear business cases are established for each initiative and aligned with PMO central playbook
  • Justify the alignment of each initiative with the strategic objectives and use this rationale for prioritisation
  • Utilise a structured methodology to assess and prioritise initiatives based on their strategic value and potential impact

Qualifications

Specialist skills and experience

  • Strong change and project management skills gained through formal qualification and/or participation in successfully managing change processes/initiatives
  • Excellent planning, time management and communication skills
  • Ability to operate across multiple disciplines
  • Interpersonal and stakeholder management skills at all levels
  • Previous success in delivering against challenging operational objectives
  • Financially literate – able to identify financial risks factor and efficiency opportunities
  • Excellent understanding of systems, processes and operations in customer facing environments
  • Strong meeting management and facilitation skills
  • Timely decision-making skills considering the needs of the situation, priorities, constraints and the availability of necessary information
