  • Monitor and ensure continuous compliance with all conditions and requirements set by the Betting Control and Licensing Board (BCLB) including reporting obligations, advertising guidelines and responsible gaming policies.
  • Assist with all procedures related to obtaining, maintaining and renewing local operational licenses and permits.
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely regulatory reports to the BCLB and other relevant government agencies.
  • Draft, review and negotiate various commercial agreements, vendor contracts, marketing partnerships and employment contracts, ensuring they adhere to Kenyan contract law.
  • Draft, update and implement internal compliance manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and external facing documents such as Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy for the Kenyan customer base.
  • Provide prompt, accurate and practical legal advice to internal departments (Operations, Marketing, HR) on day to day matters affecting the business in Kenya.
  • Ensure the company's Responsible Gaming framework meets local legal standards and proactively protects vulnerable customers.
  • Bachelor degree of Laws from a recognized university.
  • Admitted Advocate of the High Court of Kenya is an added advantage
  • Minimum 3 years of post qualification experience in a legal or compliance role with exposure to a regulated industry such as iGaming, Banking or Financial Services is a significant advantage
  • In depth knowledge of the Kenyan Betting, Lotteries and Gaming Act, BCLB regulations and the Data Protection Act
  • Ability to read and interpret documents in both English and Swahili is beneficial for local court documents and regulatory correspondence.
