ENTER THE GAME

As a Head of Political Affairs – Sports & Societal Issues, you will join the Public Affairs team, whose role is to shape Betclic’s regulatory environment and support the Group’s strategic positioning across markets.

You will be responsible for structuring the production of analyses, strategic materials and advocacy content to support the development of a balanced and sustainable regulatory environment. You will play a central role in defining Betclic’s external narrative and ensuring consistency of messaging across markets, with a strong focus on topics such as sponsorship, media relations, regulatory developments and player protection.

YOUR ROLE WITHIN BETCLIC

In this role, your main missions will be:

Strategic Analysis & Advocacy Production

  • Produce high-quality, evidence-based advocacy materials (briefings, position papers, talking points…)
  • Translate complex regulatory and sector developments into clear, actionable positions
  • Ensure consistency, precision and credibility of arguments across all topics (advertising, sponsorship, player protection, regulation…)
  • Build and maintain a structured data room to support arguments with robust and verifiable data

Cross-Market Coordination & Group Support

  • Act as a central point of expertise for local Public Affairs teams across markets
  • Coordinate shared positions and ensure alignment at Group level
  • Scale best practices, arguments and materials across countries
  • Work in close collaboration with all Group functions

Stakeholder Engagement & Trust Building

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders (sports, media, tech, public institutions, responsible gaming actors)
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen Betclic’s positioning within influential networks
  • Ensure long-term quality and continuity of engagement

Advocacy Delivery & Representation

  • Support and contribute to institutional meetings and strategic engagements
  • Prepare internal stakeholders with clear and impactful materials
  • Participate in discussions to articulate and defend the Group’s positions

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for passionate and curious professionals who bring kindness and a touch of enthusiasm!

This job is for you if:

  • You have around 10 years of experience in public affairs, stakeholder engagement or institutional environments
  • You have a background in political science, law or public affairs
  • You have a strong interest in societal topics, EU affairs and regulated environments
  • You are able to produce clear, structured and impactful narratives
  • You are comfortable interacting with both internal teams and external stakeholders
  • You can operate at both French and international levels
  • You are analytical, structured and able to simplify complex topics
  • You have an affinity with the sports ecosystem (a plus)
  • You speak English fluently

WHAT ARE THE RECRUITMENT STEPS?

If your application is shortlisted, Elodie will contact you within a week for an initial HR screening (30 minutes). Then, you will complete the AssessFirst test (personality, motivation and cognitive reasoning).

About two weeks later, you will work on a case study to present to Alexandre - Public Affairs & Corporate communication Director

Next, you will meet Alexandre, your future manager, followed by Julien – CEO.

Finally, Elodie will conduct a final HR interview to review your AssessFirst results together.

The recruitment process usually takes between 4 to 6 weeks to ensure an optimal experience for you.
