Head Of Exchange Product

As the Head of Exchange Product you’ll work closely with your peers in product, commercial, brand and tech to help define and deliver the product strategy, while also ensuring the team of Product Managers and Product Owners deliver superior, delightful, and engaging user experiences on the Betfair Exchange.

What you’ll do

• Set and lead a compelling Betfair Exchange product vision and strategy that is grounded in deep customer insight and focused on delivering meaningful user value through a compelling product roadmap.
• Clearly define what success looks like against the product vision and strategy, and drive a sharp, consistent focus across teams to achieve it.
• Proactively identify emerging trends at both a macro level (digital product best practice) & Exchange level (crypto-centric recreational trading, influencer-led prediction markets, regulatory landscape) and assess their strategic relevance to the future of the Exchange. Define a clear and expansive view of our addressable market, unconstrained by legacy thinking.
• Strike the right balance between delivering short-term commercial results and positioning the Betfair Exchange to capitalise on the growing recreational trading segment — all while ensuring the ongoing evolution of a technically complex platform.
• Deliver high-profile initiatives like the ‘New Exchange Mobile Experience’ while also fostering a broader culture of continuous discovery — grounded in hypothesis testing, user validation, and data. Clearly define how these delivery modes coexist and reinforce each other.
• Drive go-to-market planning and execution for product launches, measuring and reporting performance against defined success metrics.
• Forge strong, collaborative relationships with key Flutter stakeholders — including the broader UK&I product and tech teams, the Betfair commercial and business development teams, and US-based stakeholders focused on capitalising on the prediction markets opportunity.
• Collaborate closely with your technology counterpart to establish an effective ‘two-in-a-box’ ownership model for the Exchange.
• You’ll be passionate about coaching and developing others, building a diverse team and creating an inclusive working environment.
• Lead, empower and develop a product team through shaping and embedding product best practice in your own ways of working and your teams.

How you’ll do it

• A strong demonstratable product sense.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills, including the ability to present concepts clearly and persuasively to peers and senior executives.
• A wealth of experience delivering multi-platform web and mobile applications.
• Proven experience in a leadership role managing a growth-oriented product team.
• Have a strategic mindset, using insights and data to define direction that will set the pace for our industry and change the game for customers.
• Evidence of leading teams that have delivered a positive ROI and/or innovative products using design thinking with a track record of consistently improving product KPI’s through iterative delivery.
• Curious, ever questioning and a lifelong learner.
• Comfortable launching imperfect solutions and making tough decisions on priorities.
• Excellent understanding and appreciation of multivariant testing.
