Position Summary
The Gas Turbine Repair Engineer role is an integral part of the engineering team developing repairs of aeroderivative gas turbines components. These repairs restore the components to perform we in turbines in peaker applications. We utilize state-of-the-art blue light scanning, superalloy welding, brazing, HVOF & air plasma spray coatings and vacuum heat treating to restore parts to serviceable condition. We also manufacture new replacement parts for aeroderivative turbines in the same facility.

Position Responsibilities
- Development of safe, high quality, reliable and cost-effective repair processes to deliver repaired components.
- Introduction of new repair processes and full component repair into the repair shop
- Quality, cost, delivery and responsiveness to customer/project specific repair scopes.
- Optimize, streamline, and improve all inspection and repair processes.
- Work-in-Progress repair quality issue resolution
- Repair equipment and tooling definition and fabrication.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline from an ABET‑accredited program.
- Broad experience in aeroderivative gas turbine component repair.
- Adept at reading and interpreting geometric dimensioning and tolerancing in printed and digital drawing/model formats
- US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
- Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in developing and applying gas turbine component repair processes or extensive experiences with repair processes on products with comparable alloys, coating systems, and thermal/mechanical fatigue issues.
- Broad gas turbine component repair experience: LM6000/PE6000/LM2500 preferred.
- Applied experience with SolidWorks or other Computer Aided Design (CAD) applications desired.
- Ability to analyze and resolve problems in a logical and effective manner.
- Ability to perform research, compile and analyze data, and write clear, concise and accurate reports on complex subjects.
