Employee Relations Manager

This role is a 12 month fixed term contract

As an Employee Relations Manager within the UKI team, you will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing employee relations across multiple countries, with a primary focus on the UK and Republic of Ireland (ROI). You will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and expertise in handling complex employee relations matters.

How you will do it:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters.

  • Lead the resolution of complex employee relations issues, conducting thorough investigations and providing recommendations.

  • Develop and implement employee relations policies and procedures.

  • Advise and support HR and management teams on best practices, ensuring compliance with employment laws and supporting with crafting and drafting of documentation.

  • Lead on Redundancy & TUPE transfers where required.

  • Maintenance of ER trackers & case management software.

  • Provide robust, practical, professional and dedicated ER advice to a range of key stakeholders.

  • Attendance and in some cases leading on significant senior investigations or hearings where participation of HR would be beneficial.

  • Provide training to HR and line managers on employee relations topics.

  • Contribute to the development of a positive workplace culture and employee engagement initiatives.

  • Collaborate with legal counsel when necessary to address potential legal issues.

  • Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations when handling employee relations matters.

What we are looking for:

  • Proven capability in leading and managing all aspects of robust investigation processes.

  • Willingness and ability to challenge existing practices and recommend improvements.

  • Familiarity with ER case management tools.

  • Ability to prioritise work on own initiative.

  • Good understanding of Employment Legislation in UK and Ireland.

  • Extensive experience in general employee relations advice and guidance.

  • Degree in Human Resources or related discipline.

  • CIPD qualification (desirable)
