ABOUT SBC

Are you ready to be part of something bigger?

At SBC, we are not just shaping the future of Gaming and Entertainment — we’re redefining it.

From our humble beginnings in 2009 with informal meetups in London pubs, we’ve evolved into an events, media, tech and entertainment global powerhouse. We now unite the brightest minds from the casino, sports betting, marketing, and fintech industries and create transformative experiences that drive innovation.

SBC organises industry-defining events and gatherings in iconic destinations such as Lisbon, Florida, Rio de Janeiro, London, Toronto, Las Vegas, Barcelona, Malta, and Tbilisi. Our events attract a yearly delegation of 100,000 decision-makers and innovators who come together to drive their industries forward.

But SBC isn’t just hosting game-changing events — we’re also a key player in media, entertainment, and tech.

  • We deliver timely news, insights, and trends to the gaming and fintech industries through our respected publications, podcasts, and digital platforms.
  • Our events feature celebrity keynotes from icons like Tony Hawk and Sir Tim Berners-Lee, as well as the now-famous INFINITY parties headlined by world-renowned DJs such as Afrojack, Steve Aoki, Don Diablo, Miss Monique, Dubdogz, and Darude.
  • We have developed our own state-of-the-art event app and community platform, SBC Connect, through our in-house tech team, which allows us to host digital conferences for delegates around the world.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

As SBC and the media business continues to grow and develop; both in deeper penetration of existing markets but in seeking new opportunities globally, a fundamental need is a strong editorial bench.

Due to an expansion into the affiliate and marketing sector, SBC is now seeking an Editor who can write, create and produce exciting and interesting content to that sector across our existing website portfolio (mainly AffiliateLeaders.com) and a newly developed site. You will have the opportunity to create new sections for the site, as well as evolving our biannual Affiliate Leaders Magazine into a quarterly magazine.

This will initially be a standalone role, but as the successful candidate grows into the position, they will acquire and develop a team of 1 to 3 journalists either through recruitment or role transfers. Although the successful candidates will not have direct reports from the offset, they will be working closely with other teams in the business. The Affiliate Relationships team will be a key resource for this role to help understand the clients that we have and the content that they would be interested in. Additionally this role will work with the Conference Production team to gain an understanding of the agendas for the Affiliate Events that SBC runs, ensuring that content is aligned with our media output. These internal relationships will be a key contributor to the success of the role. Alongside the internal relationships, to succeed in this role you will need to be able to build and engage a network within the sector at various industry events.

This role holds ultimate editorial responsibility for publication decisions and story coverage, with a focus on delivering outstandingly informative and captivating content that resonates with the target audience and fosters customer allegiance. The successful applicant will be a resourceful and imaginative individual possessing sound journalistic instincts, meticulous attention to detail, and innovative thinking skills. They will be adept at leveraging social media and digital platforms for content discovery, research, and dissemination.
