Based in Sydney, the Director of Platform Regression and Integration will lead a team responsible for ensuring the stability, reliability, and seamless integration of platform components across the organization’s regulated product ecosystem. This role is critical for maintaining high-quality software delivery by overseeing regression testing strategies, integration frameworks, and partnership with automation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in regulated software quality assurance, platform architecture, and cross-functional collaboration. They will have proven experience coordinating certification procedures by independent testing organizations like BMM Testlabs and Gaming Laboratories International (GLI). They will also have solid understanding of ANZ (Australia/New Zealand) and APAC (Australia Pacific) gaming regulations.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Leadership

  • Partner with Leaders within QA Pods and Automation to lead delivery of the end-to-end testing of regulated platforms

  • Define and carry out the vision for verification and combined system testing across all platform services

  • Develop long-term strategies for automation, scalability, and ongoing improvement of testing processes

Regression Testing and Functional Testing Excellence

  • Establish robust regression testing frameworks to ensure platform stability after updates and releases

  • Implement automated regression suites to minimize manual effort and accelerate release cycles

Integration Management

  • Ensure comprehensive test strategy that covers compatibility and interoperability between platform components and external systems

  • Oversee robust QA testing practices that meet or exceed regulatory standards (e.g., GLI, BMM, NVGCB) for all applicable products and platforms, with a focus on Quality

  • Collaborate with compliance and product test teams to align testing frameworks with certification requirements.

  • Drive efficiencies with both external testing costs and time to market improvements

Independent Test Lab Coordination:

  • Lead certification and compliance processes with independent test labs (e.g., BMM, GLI)

  • Focus on key jurisdictions like ANZ and APAC, along with world-base jurisdictions as well

  • Ensure timely submission of builds, documentation, and evidence for regulatory approvals

  • Act as the primary liaison between internal teams and external labs to resolve issues and expedite certifications

Automation Team Engagement

  • Partner closely with the automation team to align on tooling, frameworks, and test coverage strategies

  • Test automation tool outputs for ongoing efficiency and improvement opportunities (e.g. Test Robots)

  • Provide leadership and guidance to ensure automation efforts are prioritized, scalable, and aligned with business and regulatory needs.

  • Champion a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement in automation practices.

Customer Quality

  • Create frameworks and test strategy to capture casino customer expectations in every platform release, and own the Root Cause Analysis process for platform field quality issues

  • Drive platform interoperability testing, ensuring seamless integration with property systems and gaming devices

  • Coordinate quarterly synch-ups with voice of customer functions (Field Technicians, BDEs, Tech Support, etc.)

Quality Governance and Risk Management

  • Define benchmarks and quality metrics to measure functional testing efficiency, coverage, and velocity.

  • Provide executive-level reporting on quality trends, risks, and improvement initiatives.

  • Promote an environment that encourages innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.

Team Leadership:

  • Provide on-site leadership and mentoring for all Platform QA teams

  • Lead a distributed team dedicated to regression and end-to-end testing

  • Foster a culture of collaboration between development, product, and compliance teams

What We’re Looking For

  • 12+ years of software testing, with at least 7+ years in leadership roles

  • Expertise with implementing functional and continuous testing in highly regulated environments

  • Demonstrated experience in leading global QA teams

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred

  • Experience with GDK testing and certification processes for gaming platforms

  • Strong analytical, communication, and collaborator leadership skills
