Data Engineer
IMG ARENA is looking to maximise the value of the rich variety of sports data available through data enrichment, sports and excitement analytics and by building proprietary metrics. As a Data Engineer you will be part of an agile Data Engineering and Data Science team (DataOps) collaborating with people across the business, from product development teams to business stakeholders, with the responsibility of championing the highest standards of storage, quality, feature engineering, analysis and democratisation of both sports and product data. You will implement new products and features according to their acceptance criteria, as well as maintaining and improving the existing features/codebase.
What will you do?
Building data processing pipelines both streaming and batch
Feature engineering, combining data sets from internal and external sources
Managing and maintaining standards for Data Analysis tools used across the organisation
Contributing to future design/architecture solutions that directly
impact the business.
Exploring and innovating with sports data to discover new data
products

Programming (e.g. Python, Scala)
Large-scale data manipulation and processing (e.g. SQL, Spark,
Pandas, BigQuery)
Analytical mind with problem-solving skills
Approachable and a proficient communicator across both technical and non-technical organisational levels.

Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
Real-time analytics databases (e.g. Apache Druid)
