Compensation Manager

The Flutter Group Compensation team is a key part of our Group Reward function, with specific responsibility for advising on, developing, and managing Flutter's global job and pay architecture. This includes our frameworks for job grading and pay benchmarking, whilst also leading on our global pay equity and transparency strategy and driving innovation in compensation technology and analytics.

The Compensation Manager is responsible for leading pay benchmarking activities, creating and maintaining pay ranges, and providing expert advice to internal stakeholders on job profile matching and pay range alignment. The role coordinates benchmarking processes, develops policy documentation, and mentors junior team members while supporting the Senior Compensation Manager on complex projects.

What you’ll do

  • Lead pay benchmarking and range management activities, including market data analysis, survey submissions, and maintaining accurate, up-to-date pay ranges aligned to external market data.

  • Provide expert guidance on job levelling, role matching, and pay range alignment to divisional reward teams, incorporating stakeholder feedback into compensation decisions.

  • Oversee job architecture integrity and expansion, partnering with business stakeholders to develop new role profiles, job families, and onboard brands into the established framework.

  • Develop and maintain compensation policy documentation, process guides, FAQs, and training materials to support business-wide understanding of reward frameworks.

  • Drive data visualisation and insight generation from pay and range analyses, using Excel and other tools to inform decision-making and communicate findings clearly.

  • Mentor and quality assure the work of the Compensation Specialist, partner with divisional reward teams on pay pressures and policy improvements, and respond to complex reward queries from HR and management stakeholders.

How you’ll do it:

  • Substantial experience in reward or compensation, spanning pay benchmarking, policy development, cyclical reward activities, and quality assurance of technical outputs.

  • Advanced knowledge of job evaluation methodologies and benchmarking providers (WTW, Mercer, etc.), with strong familiarity with job architecture principles and pay transparency legislation.

  • Proficiency in HR systems — ideally Workday — including job catalogue and pay range management, with the ability to document system and process requirements clearly.

  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills, including experience with data visualisation tools and the ability to guide others in technical delivery.

  • Be a credible business partner with excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to translate complex reward concepts for diverse stakeholders across multiple divisions.

  • Collaborative, resilient, and solutions-focused, with strong organisational skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to mentor junior colleagues while managing a fast-paced workload.
