By joining our Developer Experience (DevX) team as a work-study Software Engineer, you will not just observe—you will actively contribute to building AI-powered tools that impact over 400 developers across 5 European countries.

This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with AI agents, prompt engineering, and LLM integration in real production environments, while discovering DevOps and DevX practices within a leading tech company in online sports betting.

YOUR ROLE WITHIN BETCLIC

In this role, your main missions will be:

AI Development

• Contribute to the development of AI agents integrated into development workflows (automated code review, documentation generation, log analysis)
• Enhance the AI Dev Portal and CLI by building new features and plugins
• Experiment with LLMs and prompt engineering to solve real team challenges
• Build prototypes of autonomous agents (support agents, toil reduction agents) using internal SDK frameworks
• Participate in AI awareness sessions and contribute to training content for developer communities
• Measure the impact of deployed AI tools and contribute to performance dashboards

Foundations & DevX

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions (pipelines, runners, templates)
• Support the maintenance and evolution of internal starter kits and marketplace
• Learn and apply Cloud practices (AWS, Azure) and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)
• Participate in agile ceremonies (demos, retrospectives, sprint planning) and technical guilds
• Benefit from mentorship by a Senior Engineer

TECHNICAL ENVIRONMENT

• GenAI & Agents: LLMs (Claude, GPT), MCP Protocol, Agents SDK, Prompt Engineering
• Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS, Azure, Terraform, Docker, Serverless
• CI/CD: GitHub Actions, SonarQube, Artifactory
• Languages: Python, TypeScript/Node.js (C# / Kotlin as a plus)
• DevX: Backstage
• Observability: DataDog

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for passionate and curious professionals who bring kindness and a touch of enthusiasm !
This job is for you if:

• You are currently pursuing an Engineering degree or a Master’s in Computer Science (Master’s level)
• You are passionate about AI and have already experimented with LLMs or AI APIs (personal projects, hackathons, coursework…)
• You are proficient in Python and/or TypeScript and comfortable with Git and command-line tools
• You are curious, autonomous, and enjoy solving real-world problems through code
• You are eager to learn DevOps/DevX practices: CI/CD, Cloud, Infrastructure-as-Code
• You are a team player with strong communication skills
• You have a good professional level of English

WHAT ARE THE RECRUITMENT STEPS?

If your application is shortlisted, Sébastien will contact you within a week for an initial HR screening (30 minutes). Then, you will complete the AssessFirst test (personality, motivation and cognitive reasoning).
Next, you will meet Julien, Head of Developer Experience, followed by a technical interview and case study with a team member.
About two weeks later, you will take part in an on-site immersion day and final discussion with Sébastien.
The recruitment process usually takes between 2 to 3 weeks to ensure an optimal experience for you.
