As the Accounts Payable Clerk you will be responsible for multiple bank accounts ensuring reconciliation and postings to the Finance System are delivered in a prompt and accurate manner amongst other tasks. 

This role offer the opportunity to work from home twice weekly and is a fantastic entry level role into finance.  

 

This is initially a 3-month Fixed-Term Contract. 

 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Receiving and recording the receipt of invoices.
  • Processing invoices to make sure payments are correct and on time.
  • Requesting receipt of statements from invoicing contractors or businesses when they are not provided. 
  • Processing payment runs and matching and filing invoices and receipts. 
  • Reconciling business accounts to make sure amounts paid reflect goods and services received. 
  • Answering queries from suppliers, contractors and other business departments about accounts payable or payments made. 
  • Respond to queries and requests from the business.
  • Assist with external and internal audit requests, specifically at interim and year end. 

Qualifications: 

  • Experience in accounts payable is desirable. 
  • An interest in starting your career in finance. 
  • Previous experience using Outlook, Excel, Word, Financial systems and bank reconciliation systems would be useful, training will be provided. 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills 
  • Be able to work well within a team and on own initiative
