2D animator / Spine specialist

Description

Digitain is looking for a talented 2D Spine Animator to create high-quality animations for gaming projects using Spine 2D and modern 2D artistic techniques. The ideal candidate will bring characters and assets to life through dynamic motion graphics, visual effects, and engaging animations that enhance the overall player experience. This role requires close collaboration with the creative and design teams to transform concepts into visually engaging animations that align with project goals and timelines. The position demands strong technical expertise in 2D animation principles, rigging, and motion design within Spine.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality 2D character and asset animations using Spine 2D.
• Rig and animate characters, environments, and game elements in Spine.
• Collaborate with the creative team to develop concepts and visual solutions that effectively communicate the intended message and meet project objectives.
• Apply motion design and animation principles to create smooth, dynamic gameplay animations.
• Work closely with the Head of Design, designers, and other team members to understand game requirements, objectives, and timelines.
• Optimize animations for in-game performance.
• Refine and adjust animations based on feedback.
• Research and implement new animation techniques and industry best practices.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the direct manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Graphic Design or a related field).
• Minimum 2+ years of professional experience as a 2D Animator, with strong hands-on experience in Spine 2D.
• Proven experience in character rigging and animation using Spine.
• Strong knowledge of 2D animation principles, timing, weight, and motion.
• Experience creating 2D visual effects.
• Knowledge of video editing and composition techniques.
• Proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Fluency in Armenian, English, and Russian.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
