THE JOB:

The Vice President Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) leads a multi‐person team that is responsible for driving the overall strategy of the company and assigned properties through partnership with operating departments as well as oversight of compliance with gaming regulations, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer.  The Vice President Finance, FP&A leads the financial forecasting and budgeting processes while analyzing property revenue and cost drivers to identify and drive incremental business opportunities across the assigned properties. This role will have oversight of MGM Grand, Signature, Mandalay Bay, W Las Vegas, New York-New York, Luxor, and Excalibur.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • ​Responsible for leading the property Directors of Finance and Director of FP&A and overseeing budgeting, forecasting, strategic analysis, opportunity identification, revenue/cost trend analysis, capital planning, compliance, liaising with the Finance Shared Services Center (FSSC) and other duties in these areas
  • Responsible for creating a strategic finance capability that focuses on the identification, evaluation, and execution of strategic financial objectives and incremental opportunities for Operations.  Ensures organizational and leadership alignment on priorities, targets, status, and outcomes around these goals
  • Develop and oversee execution of property‐specific programs, policies, and procedures as they relate to gaming/casino finance, accounting, audit, and state and county regulatory programs. Stay abreast of changes and trends in the regulatory environment and make changes/updates to existing programs/policies/procedures, as needed. Identify process improvement opportunities and partner with operators and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to implement solutions
  • Partner and maintain effective relationships with the Finance Shared Service Center, COEs, regulatory agencies, and all operators by building credibility and owning and resolving questions, requests, issues, etc. to make informed decisions that enhance financial and operational performance
  • Ensures and prioritizes providing change management support and strategies around key initiatives that impact employees, customers, processes, technology, and other related changes to how we operate. Provides executive support and integrates the efforts of communication, training, reporting to ensure successful delivery of initiatives
  • Leads a high performing team through proactive communication, coaching, professional development of team members and other stakeholders involved that fall outside of reporting lines. Develops and supports execution of professional development plans tailored to each individual.  Instrumental in fostering a work environment that promotes collaboration, performance, feedback, and overall sense of employee community
  • Effectively collaborates with and serves as both a financial and operational business partner to all Pod leaders and key stakeholders to understand and create solutions for their business and analytical needs to produce both short-term and long-term profitability
  • Enables alignment and adoption of new initiatives as well as understanding of the company's actions


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree and has 6+ years of prior relevant experience in a senior or upper management capacity within finance.
  • They bring proven experience working in a gaming development environment as well as in a resort setting, with a track record of leading and collaborating across multiple properties.
  • They have demonstrated success in working with all levels of management, including executives, and in consulting with key business stakeholders to drive results.
  • The candidate thrives in high-stress, fast-paced environments, effectively managing multiple projects and personnel simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize conflicting duties, and a commitment to maintaining timeline integrity are essential.
