About CFO

Flutter consists of two commercial divisions (FanDuel and International) and our central Flutter Functions; COO, Finance & Legal. Here in Flutter Functions we work with colleagues across all our divisions and regions to deliver something we call the Flutter Edge.  It’s what differentiates us, our ‘secret sauce’ which plays a key part in our ongoing success and powers our brands and divisions, through Product, Tech, Expertise and Scale.

In Flutter Finance we pride ourselves in providing global expertise to ensure Flutter is financially healthy. Utilising our Flutter Edge to turbo-charge our capabilities.

Flutter Treasury has made significant progress on its treasury transformation journey, including the implementation of an in-house bank, enhancement of treasury systems, and simplification of the group’s banking infrastructure.

Alongside this, Flutter launched a wider Group Finance transformation programme in 2024 ('Project Polaris'), running through to 2027 and including a group-wide Oracle Cloud implementation, faster close objectives, and the centralisation and standardisation of finance processes globally.

Reporting to the Group Treasury Senior Manager – Transformation, Integration & Projects, the Group Treasury Manager will play a key role in delivering treasury transformation initiatives across systems, processes, controls and operating models. The role will lead complex treasury workstreams across Project Polaris and broader strategic treasury initiatives, partnering closely with Treasury, Finance, Technology, Operations and external banking partners.

This role requires a strong combination of treasury knowledge, project delivery capability and stakeholder management experience. The successful candidate will drive transformation initiatives from design through implementation, helping shape the future treasury operating model while ensuring robust governance, scalability and operational excellence.

The role sits within a geographically diverse treasury team, with colleagues based in Dublin, Isle of Man, Leeds and London.

What you will be responsible for

As a Treasury Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving our treasury transformation initiatives. Your leadership will be instrumental in managing multiple concurrent projects, ensuring flawless progress and delivery against agreed achievements, timelines, and objectives. You will:

  • Lead treasury transformation efforts across Project Polaris pillars, including Systems & Data, Process & Reporting, Organisation & People, and ICFR (Controls).
  • Manage treasury workstreams, driving the development and implementation of scalable processes, controls, and operating models aligned with Group Finance transformation objectives.
  • Support the evolution and optimisation of the Group’s in-house bank and virtual account liquidity structures.
  • Lead workshops, build sessions, and collaborator forums to define future-state treasury processes and solutions.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies, process risks, and control gaps; drive continuous improvement initiatives across treasury operations.
  • Coordinate testing strategies, UAT execution, and deployment activities for treasury systems and process changes.
  • Ensure treasury transformation initiatives are aligned with governance, risk management, and SOX / ICFR requirements.
  • Lead strategic treasury systems initiatives, including TMS improvements, payment factory capabilities, automation, and forecasting improvements.
  • Partner with banking providers, technology teams, and vendors to deliver connectivity, integration, and banking infrastructure changes.
  • Coordinate the implementation and embedding of treasury process improvements across payments, cash management, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Support standardisation of banking structures, payment processes, and treasury controls across the Group.
  • Contribute to treasury integration activities relating to acquisitions, new market entries, and organisational change initiatives.
  • Drive operational readiness activities, including training, documentation, governance, and post-implementation support.
  • Build positive relationships across Treasury, Finance, Technology, Internal Controls, Audit, and external banking partners.
  • Act as a key treasury representative within cross-functional transformation programmes and governance forums.
  • Provide clear and concise updates to senior collaborators on project progress, risks, dependencies, and key decisions.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to analysts and junior team members involved in treasury transformation initiatives.
  • Influence collaborators across multiple jurisdictions and business units to drive alignment on strategic treasury objectives.

How you will accomplish it

To excel in this role, you will bring your expertise and proven track record in treasury management and transformation. You have:

  • 5+ years’ experience within treasury, finance transformation, treasury operations, or related finance roles.
  • Solid knowledge of treasury functions, cash flow management, banking systems, and payment procedures.
  • Experience assisting treasury transformation initiatives, systems implementations, or operating model change programmes.
  • Knowledge of treasury systems, payment technologies, and banking connectivity solutions.
  • Experience operating in SOX / ICFR governed environments and knowledge of treasury controls frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and data skills, including advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Experience working with cross-functional collaborators and external vendors across complex programmes.
  • Treasury, Accounting, or Project Management qualifications (ACT, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, PMP, or equivalent) advantageous.
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills; experience supporting senior collaborators.
