What’s the position?

We are seeking an experienced and data-driven Manager of Trading Player Profiling to lead a team focused on enhancing our approach to customer profiling, segmentation, and behavioral insights. This team plays a key role in identifying sharp customers, detecting coordinated betting strategies, optimizing high value players, and driving strategy on player management from a trading and risk perspective.

 

You will be responsible for inspiring and mentoring a team of analysts who provide real-time and historical analysis of customer behavior, margin impact, market manipulation, and strategy detection. Your leadership will ensure that we make smarter trading decisions, manage liabilities more effectively, and optimize profitability without compromising customer experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the Customer Optimization team, driving performance and collaboration
  • Set up structured onboarding, training, and performance processes for all analysts
  • Conduct regular 1:1s and reviews, aligning individual growth with team goals
  • Oversee customer segmentation using behavioral, transactional, and risk data
  • Identify sharp bettors, syndicates, and risky betting patterns affecting trading
  • Build workflows to flag suspicious or high-risk activity in real time
  • Track customer profitability, trends, and exposure to high-risk strategies
  • Deliver actionable reports and dashboards using Tableau, Amplitude, and Snowflake
  • Collaborate with BI, VIP, Product, and Compliance to align segmentation with business goals
  • Recommend pricing, limit, and margin changes based on customer insights
  • Represent the team in trading strategy meetings and leadership discussions
  • Define and manage a roadmap of tools, models and methods to harness technology to maximize your team’s effectiveness
  • Be the sportsbook’s authority on optimized play around concessions, bonuses and offers
  • Implement A/B strategies to validate player management hypotheses

Job requirements

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in customer profiling, trading, or risk in a US regulated online sportsbook
  • Proven track record of managing teams and developing talent
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience working in tools like Tableau, Excel and SQL
  • Deep understanding of betting behavior, sportsbook profitability drivers, and risk management concepts
  • Comfortable communicating complex data insights to stakeholders at all levels
  • Highly detail-oriented, with a proactive mindset and a passion for optimization
  • An organized, self-sufficient leader, capable of identifying and resolving issues
  • Knowledge of responsible gambling protocols and US regulatory compliance requirements
