Trading Compliance Specialist Job Summary
Caesars Sportsbook a leading sports book operator, is growing rapidly. We are conducting a search for a Trading Compliance Specialist to join the team. Reporting to our, Director of Trading Compliance, though our Vice President of Compliance and Licensing, you will be responsible for reviewing available wager offerings and markets within trading as well as oversee the wager approval process within multiple jurisdictions.
In this position, you will perform a range of duties, including evaluating all current and new compliance regulations related to wagering and for future offerings. The ideal candidate will have the ability to extract data and work with the team on creating standardized automated processes utilizing large datasets and have strong communication skills.
What You Will Do
- Research applicable law and the sports wagering catalogues of multiple jurisdictions and apply these laws to ensure trading compliance.
- Synthesize large amounts of data into actionable recommendations to streamline auditing processes.
- Communicate with regulators in multiple jurisdictions regarding sporting event offerings/market types and make requests for regulatory approval.
- Perform audits of the live wagering environment and make updates to our database.
- Provide updates on any wager approvals or findings and field questions from the Trading Team.
- Provide ongoing support and communication with Regulatory Compliance and Sports Trading to ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
- Work in a team-based environment.
What You Will Need
- Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following areas: Data Analytics, Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics/Statistics, or Computer Science.
- Strong analytical skills including, but not exclusive to, data aggregation/manipulation, optimization, etc.
- Experience working with large datasets; proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and proven experience manipulating data, developing insights, and communicating findings.
- Strong communication skills, including capacity to take complex ideas and analyses and put it into clear and tangible recommendations that drive decision making.
- Intellectual curiosity and willingness to quickly learn relevant database applications and software, as well as industry-specific terminology and dynamics.
- Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously.
- Contribute to a culture dedicated to telling the truth through data, by demonstrating the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognizing standards required by a regulated business.
- Must be able to work in a deadline-oriented environment, ensuring decisions and management communication is occurring in a timely fashion across all geographical areas of operations.
- Ability to quickly understand business problems and how they may be solved.
- Knowledge of Sports Betting processes and regulations.
- Ability to work in a loud and chaotic environment.
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages: SQL, R, VBA, SAS, Python.
- Experience with web-based data visualization tools, such as, Looker, Power BI and Atlassian Confluence/Jira.
- Prior experience in the gaming/sports betting industry, regulatory compliance, auditing, sports trading, or similar position.
