At Fanatics Betting & Gaming (FBG), a core division of Fanatics' mission to establish the ultimate end-to-end digital sports platform, we're crafting a world where every aspect of a sports fan's passion is catered to.
Our Risk And Trading team are looking for a Trading Automation Engineer with the aim of streamline trading processes by identifying inefficiencies and automating them with the support of the trading team. This will include designing, developing, deploying, documenting & maintaining software solutions used by various Trading teams.
What you will do:
- Analyse efficiency of day-to-day tasks with a view to automating improvements
- Liaise with the Technology teams to ensure that standards and practices match the company's long term vision.
- Liaise with Technology teams to ensure alignment on projects.
- Own your own roadmap in collaboration with stakeholders in our Risk and Trading team
- Develop a pathway for traders to develop their programming skills to support the trading automation projects backlog.
- Success will be measured in time savings, cost savings and better customer experience from the projects you work on.
The skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Exposure to (or a willingness to learn) multiple programming languages and tools including C#, Python and Excel.
- 1+ years in a quantitative or engineering role.
- Some demonstrable experience building & deploying applications.
- Effective communication skills, capable of collaborating with own team and wider audiences.
- Thrives in an entrepreneurial, hyper-growth environment where priorities evolve regularly and decisions are made quickly.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong sense of ownership and ability to follow through on ideas.
- Interest in sports and (ideally) trading / risk principles a benefit.
- Good leadership and training skills to allow the role to expand in the future
