Trader II - General Sports

As a Trader II at Fanatics Betting & Gaming (FBG), you are here to help us create an entertaining betting proposition that appeals to Fanatics customers. Reporting into the Senior Manager, Trading You will play an integral role in the General Sports Trading team, as well as the wider Trading department.

The General Sports team is responsible for performance on a wide range of sports with Tennis, Soccer, International Basketball, NHL & UFC key priorities. 

This role is based Hybrid out of FBG's Leeds, UK or Dublin, Ireland office.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring FBG’s prices are accurate at all times
• Ensure that Fanatics are putting the customer at the heart of our Trading strategies
• Operational excellence to ensure customers enjoy betting opportunities from around the world.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to deliver a best-in-class, scalable betting experience informed by data, user research, and market trends.
• Coach and develop junior team members to elevate team performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the Trading department.
• Support other areas within the Trading department as needed.
• Participate in travel to events and Fanatics offices for offsites, meetings, and collaboration opportunities.

 Qualifications

• Deep passion for sport and an intuitive understanding of what entertains sports fans.
• Multiple years in a trading capacity, with understanding of how to compile and manage prices.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable pricing strategies.
• Ability to train and develop less experienced traders
• Ability to test sportsbook platforms and help develop and test trading models
• Thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where speed and agility are valued.
• Team-first mentality, with a willingness to do what it takes to get the job done and effectively work cross-functionally across different teams at FBG and the larger Fanatics organization
• Excellent communication skills, with an ability to simplify all facets of Trading to senior leadership.
