As a Ticket Writer at Fanatics Betting & Gaming (FBG), you will be responsible for processing wagers on sporting events in our Fanatics Sportsbook. You are here to assist customers by explaining betting options, issuing tickets, and handling payouts. This role requires accuracy, attention to detail, cash handling experience and strong customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
Provide the highest level of customer service, ensuring that all customers feel comfortable and become regular guests at the sportsbook
Writes tickets and processes cash winning tickets
Counts cash at the beginning and end of each shift
Adhere to all rules and regulations set forth by Iowa Lottery and the sportsbook
Become familiar with entire bet offering and be able to answer questions about the offering with confidence
Work to resolve customer questions/disputes/complaints and escalate to direct supervisor when needed
Have a positive attitude that helps ensure a great work environment
Ensure all customers are made to feel welcome at all times and provide friendly service
Show patience with customers who do not wager regularly; take the time to explain how wagering works
Calls for MTL support when writing bets requiring MTL paperwork
Ensure that all necessary paperwork/documentation is filled out accordingly to company policy
Other duties assigned
Adhere to uniform policy and ensures a clean and neat presentation
Minimum Requirements
Must have basic computer knowledge
General sports and sports betting knowledge preferred, but not necessary
Must have a minimum of 1 year of cash handling experience in a work setting
21+ years of age or older
Must be able to obtain a Gaming License
Must be able to provide a high level of customer service in a very fast pace environment
Present yourself in a professional and polite manner
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
Essential Functions/Exposures:
Ability to do simple math
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
Must be able to lift, pull or push 25 lbs.
Must be able to twist, bend or reach with no significant boundaries
