What’s the position?
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader in Player Profiling to join our team.
As Player Profiling Team Lead, you will report to the Player Profiling Manager and be responsible for coaching and supervising a team of Sportsbook Player Profiling Analysts. This team plays a key role in executing and continuously improving our strategy for:
Customer profiling and segmentation
Detecting coordinated trading patterns
Offering behavioral insights
Deep understanding of pricing dynamics
Identifying sharp betting strategies both in-play and pre-match
You’ll work closely with teams across Sportsbook Operations, including Risk, Trading, VIP, and Business Intelligence to ensure we’re acting on the most relevant insights and staying ahead of betting behaviors.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for trading or customer profiling experience within a top-tier sportsbook, along with proven experience managing multiple direct reports. You will be data-led and detail-oriented, regularly offering your input on how to improve tasks, workflow, and productivity.
Training: Previous experience onboarding team members and driving continual development and upskilling, including analytical and data tool usage
Strong communication: Experience leading team discussions and working closely with senior managers and directors. Able to ensure departmental practices and instructions are recorded and regularly reviewed.
Regularly conduct 1-2-1s with direct reports, ensuring KPIs and strategic objectives are being met
Support the team’s effective use of Snowflake and related data tools for profiling analysis, working in partnership with Data and BI teams where required.
Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Amplitude, BI and Tableau
Snowflake or other coding proficiency preferred
Awareness and experience in implementation of industry-leading customer profiling techniques, from individual-level assessment through to sportsbook-wide metrics
Deep subject matter expertise in US sports and sportsbook operations
