The company has delivered strong financial performance in recent years, supported by market-leading game content, a growing digital portfolio, and continued investment in technology and product innovation.

As Aristocrat continues to expand across global markets, we're seeking a highly capable Tax Manager APAC to join our Group Tax team. This is a rare opportunity to take on a broad regional role within a sophisticated multinational environment, partnering with senior stakeholders across Finance, Legal, Treasury, Commercial and Tax while helping shape the future of a high-performing tax function. The Tax Manager APAC also plays a key role in driving continuous improvement.

This is an ideal opportunity to join the in-house tax team of a Top 20 ASX listed company at a senior level. The right individual will be well placed to learn from established processes whilst making an enduring and positive impact with the thoughtful adoption of new technologies.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare and review corporate tax returns, associated schedules and disclosures across Australia, New Zealand, and the Asia Pacific region.

  • Lead the end-to-end tax effect accounting process for the APAC region, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, legislation, and Group policies.

  • Responsible for the annual Australian controlled foreign company (CFC) attribution estimates and calculations, with support from external advisers.

  • Lead and review tax forecasting for the APAC region, and support Group level tax forecasting.

  • Partner closely with the Group Transfer Pricing team.

  • Lead and support tax audits, reviews, and enquiries, acting as the primary point of contact for Australia and New Zealand. Coordinate responses with regional finance teams and external advisers for other jurisdictions.

  • Support the implementation of governance standards, internal controls, and other tax risk management framework improvements.

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with external advisers, auditors, tax authorities, and internal business partners.

  • Involvement with business initiatives, acquisitions, restructures, intercompany funding and other strategic projects requiring tax input across APAC.

  • Support indirect tax compliance obligations including GST, FBT, and PAYG Withholding obligations within the region, where required.

What We're Looking For

  • At least 8 years experience in corporate tax compliance and reporting gained within a Big 4 or a multinational corporate environment.

  • Relevant tertiary qualification with CPA or CA accreditation.

  • Strong technical knowledge of Australian corporate taxation and tax accounting, with exposure to international tax matters.

  • Experience in Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE tax products, or similar technology, will be viewed favourably.

  • Previous delivery of operational improvements through automation, data analytics, large language models, or other new technologies/tools will be an advantage.

  • Proven ability to manage conflicting priorities whilst consistently delivering high-quality outcomes.

  • Demonstrated experience partnering with senior collaborators across finance, legal, and commercial teams.
