ENTER THE GAME
Reporting to the Deputy CFO, the Tax Director leads all tax matters of Banijay Gaming (Betclic), leading international Sportsbook and iGaming group operating across multiple jurisdictions. The role combines tax strategy, tax planning, tax compliance, close collaboration with Banijay Gaming shareholders and hands on leadership in a highly regulated and digital environment.
YOUR ROLE WITHIN BETCLIC
Tax strategy and governance
• Define in collaboration with Group Shareholders the global tax strategy in line with business objectives, growth plans and regulatory developments,
• Design, challenge, and optimize business and tax structures for online betting and gaming, including licensing, IP, and data flows,
• Develop and maintain a robust tax governance framework, policies, and controls covering all entities and jurisdictions.
Tax compliance and reporting
• Oversee all direct and indirect tax compliance: corporate income tax, gaming taxes, VAT, withholding taxes, employment taxes, and local industry levies,
• Implement Group level critical obligations with Group Shareholders (Pillar II, CBCR, DAC6 etc.),
• Ensure accurate tax provisioning and own all tax reporting within the group,
• Coordinate and review work performed by local finance teams and external advisors to secure timely, high quality filings.
Gaming and regulatory focus
• Monitor global tax and regulatory developments affecting online gaming, betting, and digital services, assessing business impact and recommending responses,
• Partner with Legal and Compliance to align tax positions with regulatory requirements in each market.
International structuring, TP and M&A
• Lead international tax planning, including holding, financing, IP, and operating structures to ensure an efficient effective tax rate and cash repatriation process,
• Own transfer pricing policy, documentation, and intercompany charging models (technology, brands, central services),
• Support M&A and market entry: due diligence, deal structuring, post acquisition integration, and restructuring where needed.
Audits, disputes and stakeholder management
• Lead relationships with tax authorities globally, managing audits, enquiries, and litigation,
• Manage external tax advisors,
• Act as the primary tax business partner to senior management and shareholders, providing clear, pragmatic advice.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for passionate and curious professionals who bring kindness and a touch of enthusiasm!
• 10+ years of experience in international tax, ideally with a mix of Big 4 / top tier advisory and in house role in tech, digital, or regulated industries
• University degree in Tax, Law, Finance or Economics; professional qualification (CTA, ADIT, CPA, or equivalent) highly valued
• Solid track record in:
o Cross border tax planning and structuring
o Transfer pricing and intercompany policies
o Managing complex multi jurisdictional tax compliance frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to manage audits and discussions with tax authorities and regulators
• Comfortable working in a fast paced, data driven, international environment with frequent regulatory change
WHAT ARE THE RECRUITMENT STEPS?
If your application is shortlisted, Elodie will contact you within a week for an initial HR screening (30 minutes). Then, you will complete the AssessFirst test (personality, motivation and cognitive reasoning).
Next, you will meet Victor - Deputy CFO Betclic, then Charlotte - Tax Director Banijay Group, followed by Albin - CFO Betclic.
Finally, Elodie will conduct a final HR interview to review your AssessFirst results together.
The recruitment process usually takes between 4 to 6 weeks to ensure an optimal experience for you.
