We’re looking for a Tax Accountant to join our Finance team in Spain. You’ll play a critical role in managing all direct and indirect tax matters, ensuring compliance with Spanish regulations, and supporting both internal and external audits. If you have strong expertise in Spanish tax laws, thrive in international environments, and want to influence how tax processes evolve in a fast-growing company — this role is for you.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage preparation and submission of all direct and indirect tax filings in Spain (VAT, Corporate Tax, Personal Income Tax, and other obligations).

  • Ensure compliance with Spanish tax regulations and reporting requirements.

  • Collaborate with external tax advisors and government authorities when needed.

  • Support internal and external audits with accurate tax documentation and reconciliations.

  • Monitor changes in Spanish tax legislation and assess business impact.

  • Prepare tax provisions and assist with tax reporting for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Provide guidance to internal departments on tax implications of business activities.

  • Handle ad hoc tax-related tasks and special projects from senior management.

 

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognized institution.

  • 3+ years of experience in tax accounting, ideally in an international environment.

  • Strong knowledge of Spanish tax laws and regulations.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/tax software.

  • Fluent in Spanish and English (both written and spoken).

  • Experience in Big 4 firms is a strong advantage.
