About the Role

The Flutter Functions division is a key part of Flutter Entertainment, tasked with delivering crucial support and services throughout the organization. This division includes several corporate roles such as finance, legal, human resources, technology, and others, guaranteeing smooth operations and strategic coordination across the company.

Complex data is turned into useful insights by the Strategic Intelligence team to support strategic technology decisions. They integrate AI-based analytics, competitive intelligence, and innovation partnerships to help technology leaders predict challenges and take advantage of opportunities.

As Strategic Intelligence Lead, you'll manage the team's analytical work and relationships with collaborators. You will direct Strategic Intelligence Partners to turn our insights into strategic stories that impact technology strategy decisions throughout the Group.

What you’ll do

Strategic Intelligence & Analysis

• Manage strategic analysis incorporating quantitative workforce statistics, competitive market information, and reviews of emerging technological trends to produce well-rounded strategic suggestions

• Validate and refine AI-generated insights through domain expertise and organizational context, delivering actionable strategic mentorship accompanied by clear recommendations for senior technology leaders

• Conduct scenario planning and risk modeling to support technology investment decisions and long-term planning processes

Senior Collaborator Management & Influence

• Build and maintain positive relationships with CTOs and senior technology leaders across Flutter's global operations

• Serve as a key advisor on technology investments, workforce planning, and emerging technology adoption approaches—with recommendations directly coordinated into technology roadmaps and planning cycles

• Lead strategic workshops for senior executive audiences using the team's analytical content and intelligence outputs

• Present complex strategic analysis to C-suite collaborators with compelling narratives that drive decision-making

Thought Leadership & Critical Communication

• Author strategic research publications including strategy papers, and industry analyses on emerging technology trends and their business implications

• Represent Flutter externally at industry conferences, panels, and strategic forums as a leader with a point of view in technology intelligence

• Lead internal critical thinking workshops and facilitate cross-functional discussions on technology strategy and innovation

• Develop strategic frameworks that assist technology leadership in anticipating and addressing technological disruption

Team Leadership & Quality Assurance

• Coordinate analytical quality by leading all aspects of Strategic Intelligence Partners and collaborating across team functions to ensure accuracy, relevance, and strategic value of all outputs

• Lead through Strategic Intelligence Partners by mentoring their development, guiding analytical methods, and ensuring critical thinking approaches address the needs of interested parties.

• Coordinate cross-functional initiatives with Partnerships, Events, and Platform teams to deliver coordinated strategic intelligence

• Drive continuous improvement in analytical processes and collaborator engagement approaches

• Focus Protection: Maintains strategic priorities and resists distractions, ensuring team and collaborator attention remains on high-impact activities even when exciting distractions emerge

• Delivery Consistency: Builds reputation for reliability across all touchpoints, crafting confidence in collaborators that commitments will be met

Analytical & Innovation Excellence

• Multi-Source Analysis: Integrates insights from quantitative data, qualitative research, competitive intelligence, and emerging technology assessments into clear strategic narratives

• Technology Expertise: Deep understanding of new technologies (AI/ML, quantum computing, spatial computing, blockchain) and their enterprise applications and strategic implications

• Quality Assurance: Maintains objectivity and analytical rigor while adding strategic context and business implications to technical outputs

• Continuous Learning: Stays current with technological developments, industry trends, and competitive dynamics affecting Flutter's strategic position

Experience:

• Significant experience in strategic consulting, technology strategy, or senior analytical roles within fast-paced digital organizations

• Experience leading analytical teams or directing complex research projects through coordination of multiple contributors and collaborators

• Proven track record of influencing C-suite decision-making through strategic analysis and recommendations in technology environments

• Extensive experience managing collaborators, including regular interaction with senior technology leaders and cross-functional teams

• Demonstrated expertise in strategic research, competitive analysis, and technology trend assessment with measurable business impact

• Workshop facilitation experience with senior executive audiences, including building and delivery of strategic planning sessions

• Strong presentation and communication skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts for business audiences

Desirable Qualifications:

• Advanced degree or equivalent experience in Technology Management, Strategy, Economics, Engineering, or related field

• Consulting background with tier-1 strategy consulting firms or equivalent strategic advisory experience in large corporate environments

• Technology industry experience in high-growth, competitive environments with understanding of digital transformation challenges

• Experience in public speaking and sharing insights through conferences, publications, or industry forums

• International experience working across multiple markets, cultures, and regulatory environments
