The Role

We are looking for a motivated and analytical Sportsbook-Risk & Trading Analyst to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with previous experience in sportsbook operations, trading, or risk analysis who is ready to take on greater ownership and responsibility within a fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in monitoring betting activity, managing sportsbook risk exposure, identifying suspicious patterns, improving operational processes, and supporting the overall performance of the Sportsbook product. The ideal candidate should be able to combine strong analytical thinking with a solid understanding of sportsbook dynamics and is comfortable making decisions in real-time environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Risk & Liability Management:

• Monitor sportsbook liabilities, betting exposure, and market risk across pre-match and live events.
• Analyse daily risk reports and take proactive action to mitigate potential losses.
• Identify unusual betting activity, sharp action, and suspicious betting patterns.
• Suggest improvements to risk models, processes, and reporting Trading & Market Oversight.
• Monitor betting markets and ensure pricing accuracy and competitiveness.
• Detect trading or settlement errors and coordinate corrective actions.
• Support margin optimisation and market performance monitoring.

Operational & Customer Support:

• Handle complex Customer Support queries related to bets, settlements, or market disputes.
• Assist in resolving operational issues efficiently and professionally.
• Ensure sportsbook rules and betting Terms & Conditions are correctly applied Data Analysis & Process Improvement.
• Produce and interpret ad-hoc reports to support trading and risk decisions.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and propose process improvements.
• Contribute to automation initiatives, reporting enhancements, and internal tooling.
• Continuously assess sportsbook products, features, and customer experience across brands.

Team Contribution:

• Support team members when needed and contribute to knowledge sharing.
• Act as a reliable point of reference during shifts and peak sporting events.
• Take ownership of tasks and contribute to a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a sportsbook, trading, risk, fraud, or analytical role.
• Strong understanding of sports betting markets and sportsbook operations.
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to make decisions under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Good understanding of betting behaviour and risk exposure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English.
• Flexible to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
