Sports Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re seeking a commercially minded Sports Manager to help drive the development of our UK&I Sports function. This role will shape the delivery of the short, medium, and long-term Commercial strategy, developing our Football, Racing and Sports customer propositions.

This role will deliver compelling customer experiences that reward customers fairly and grow customer advocacy to the BetMGM brand.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Play a key role in driving Commercial Performance. You will be tasked with maximizing customer/commercial activities and campaigns, identifying ways in which we can improve our strategy and output over time.
• Through having a deep understanding of our customers’ motivations, and the business needs, you will work with the wider marketing team to build compelling customer insights that form the basis of great promotions and campaigns, delivered in a way which will resonate with customers, growing our share of wallet and therefore our market share.
• Liaising with our Marketing and Trading teams to innovate and develop our existing offers and Product to deliver a great customer experience - ensuring our mix of promotions resonate with customers, stand out from the competition and deliver Commercial returns.
• Market Positioning & Competitive Analysis: Continuously monitor market dynamics, competitor offerings, and customer behaviours to refine tactical and strategic priorities.
• Campaign Responsibility: Collaborate with UK marketing teams to perfectly position BetMGM and leverage data-driven campaigns and promotions to drive acquisition, retention and reactivation.
• Work closely with other Marketing functions, as well as Trading, Product, Operations & Technology teams, to design and implement a best-in-class experience for our customers.

OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

• Sportsbook and commercial experience within digital gambling, gaming, or other fast-paced digital industries.
• Broad expertise across betting and gaming - performance, product, operations, consumer, and commercial.
• Proven experience (external or internal), with strengths in problem solving, project prioritisation, and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong communicator and influencer, skilled at delivering complex, actionable insights to senior executives with clarity and impact. Deep understanding of sportsbook and iGaming dynamics, KPIs and customer behaviours.
• Commercially minded, able to link data to business performance and strategic Outcomes.
