THE JOB:
The MGM Social Media Mavens Program is a paid, part-time opportunity for top-tier UNLV students to gain hands-on experience supporting the social presence of MGM Resorts International. Mavens serve as brand advocates and content creators, helping shape digital storytelling, build brand trust with early career audiences, and support marketing efforts across MGM's iconic Las Vegas properties.

THE STARTING RATE: $16 per hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Capture and edit social-first content (photos/videos) for TikTok, Reels, etc.
• Cover events and create behind-the-scenes content.
• Brainstorm and pitch content ideas with the MGM Social Team.
• Assist with social media shoots.
• Support community engagement and content scheduling in Sprinklr.
• Contribute to content calendars, social copy, reports, mood boards, and trend spotting.
• Vet influencers, book activations, and help track campaign performance.
• Effectively communicate with the necessary stakeholders.
• Handle multiple tasks at a time to ensure efficient workflow.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
• 18 years or older
• Currently enrolled as a part-time or full-time student pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree at an accredited college or university is required
• Current student majoring in Social Media Strategy, Marketing, Hospitality Marketing, Communications, or Journalism is preferred
• Currently hold and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a United States 4.0 scale is preferred
• 6+ Months of prior work and/or internship experience is preferred
