Job Summary
Customer/Tech Training Instructor conducts technical training courses for customers and/or employees in the use of complex situations for multiple products. Interacts with customer and functional organizations to develop specifications for content of courses. Prepares lesson plans from engineering documentation, field service requirements or software documentation. Works with engineering, technical support and manufacturing to ensure that course material reflects current product features. Instructs participants in both classroom lectures and laboratory sessions. Follows up to determine applicability of course material.
Job Responsibilities
Serve as Training Lead for assigned projects, directing and coordinating the training component to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with project objectives, timelines, and approved standards.
Develop and maintain training subject matter expertise across assigned Lottery products (including networks, systems, and POS) sufficient to design, deliver, and support effective training programs; act as the training point of contact, not product owner.
Analyze client and internal stakeholder training needs and design, develop, review, and deliver high-quality, value-added training materials in instructor-led, virtual, online, and video formats that meet training, submission, and compliance requirements.
Provide training-related SME support to clients and internal teams, including clarification of product functionality as it relates to training content; operational system support and troubleshooting remain the responsibility of designated support teams.
Identify current and future training needs through consultation with clients, SMEs, and internal partners, and translate those needs into structured training plans and solutions.
Manage and track training budgets for assigned projects, including forecasting, monitoring spend, and providing recommendations to management; budget approval authority resides with management.

Ensure all training materials comply with departmental standards, style guidelines, and quality expectations.
Assess training effectiveness using evaluations, surveys, interviews, and other feedback mechanisms, and use results to drive continuous improvement.
Organize, develop, or source training manuals, guides, and course materials across multiple delivery modalities, including webinars, written documentation, interactive modules, classroom instruction, and self-paced learning.
Conduct Train-the-Trainer sessions for internal teams, site personnel, and lottery representatives to support scalable and consistent training delivery.
Deliver training to external customers as required by project scope and contractual commitments.
Document training outcomes, successes, and opportunities for improvement, and recommend alternative or enhanced training methods as appropriate.
Participate in usability reviews and feedback forums with internal and selected external stakeholders, providing training-focused input to inform product and documentation improvements.
Review new product software releases to identify training impacts for Field Service Engineers, Customer Support, and external customers, and update training content accordingly.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the setup and maintenance of learning environments tailored to different audience needs.
Provide consultative input to management during RFP and proposal reviews related to training scope, approach, and effort estimates.
Provide support to Writers and other teams on training-related deliverables as assigned, based on workload priorities and business needs.
Some evening and/or weekend work may be required to support project delivery and customer schedules.
