The Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Manual QA Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will take ownership of quality across multiple concurrent projects, lead the definition of test strategies, mentor junior QA team members, and champion a culture of quality from day one of the development lifecycle. This is a great opportunity to make a real impact as we mature our QA practices across the organisation. The role also offers a natural growth path into test automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define, own, and continuously improve test strategies, test plans, and QA standards across multiple projects.
- Design, write, and maintain comprehensive test cases covering functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
- Execute test procedures and validate software functionality against specifications, ensuring products meet the highest quality standards.
- Identify and report defects early in the development cycle; provide clear, reproducible bug reports with supporting evidence.
- Use BrowserStack to perform cross-browser and cross-device UI testing, ensuring consistent user experiences across platforms.
- Conduct various types of testing — including smoke, sanity, regression, performance, and UAT — to ensure robust software delivery.
- Track, triage, and manage defects in Jira or equivalent; produce clear test summary reports for stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts within an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, refinement, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior QA team members.
- Evaluate and introduce improvements to QA tooling and processes as the team scales.
- Contribute to early exploration of test automation frameworks and pipelines.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in a manual QA role, with at least 1 year in a senior or lead capacity.
- Proven ability to own the full QA lifecycle: strategy, test case design, execution, defect management, and reporting.
- Hands-on experience with BrowserStack for cross-browser and cross-device UI testing.
- Proficiency with QA and project tooling: Jira, TestRail, BrowserStack, Zephyr, or similar platforms.
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Hands-on experience working within Agile/Scrum teams.
- Familiarity with SQL and relational databases for backend validation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to produce clear documentation and stakeholder-ready reports.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with a track record of raising quality standards.
- Genuine eagerness to learn, grow, and contribute beyond your immediate remit.
- Experience in iGaming, fintech, or similarly regulated industries is a plus.
- Exposure to or interest in test automation (e.g. Selenium, Playwright, Cypress) is advantageous.
