What’s the position?

We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Manager – Risk to help build and lead our Canadian operational risk function for a leading online gaming operator.

In this pivotal role, you’ll take direction and collaborate closely with global leadership across Fraud, Payments, AML, Responsible Gaming (RG), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), and Customer Verification. You’ll be responsible for establishing and managing front-line operational teams in Canada, overseeing KYC, fraud prevention, payments risk, and AML monitoring while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

 

As a key leader in the first line of defence, you’ll drive operational delivery, incident management, and escalations to the Compliance function, maintaining alignment with the group’s global risk strategy. You’ll play an integral role in embedding a strong risk culture, improving processes, and protecting customers through effective governance and oversight.



What are we looking for?

  • 3+ years’ experience in Operational Risk, Compliance, or Fraud Operations within online gaming, payments, or fintech.

  • Proven experience managing front-line operational teams in regulated environments.

  • Strong understanding of AML, KYC, Fraud, Payments, RG, and EDD frameworks.

  • Experience in team building and operational setup, ideally in a new market or jurisdiction.

  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to liaise and collaborate across global leadership and compliance teams.

  • Ability to work independently while following strategic direction from established leadership.

 

Desirable

  • Familiarity with Canadian regulatory frameworks for gaming and financial crime compliance.

  • Professional certifications such as CAMS, ICA, or equivalent.

  • Experience with workflow, risk analytics, or case management tools.
