Senior Manager, Business & Platform Operations

Your role, your impact

Reporting to a senior leader, you will lead the data operations function, ensuring all platforms, pipelines, and reporting systems are stable, optimised, and aligned to business needs. You’ll play a key role in connecting delivery and operations, while driving improvements that enhance performance, cost efficiency, and reliability across a complex cloud environment.

* Lead end-to-end data operations across platforms, pipelines, and reporting systems

* Drive system reliability, performance, and availability for business-critical data and environments including Databricks analytics and Kafka data streaming platforms, Tableau etc.

* Manage incidents, prioritisation, and resolution with clear stakeholder communication

* Ensure high availability and rapid incident response for reporting and data platform systems specially during major business events and peak trading periods.

* Oversee and manage cloud-based services and applications across Amazon Web Services environments

* Guide cross-functional teams across engineering, analytics, and support function

* Strong Vendor and delivery management skills including managing budgets, product and vendor contracts.

* Ensure data platforms comply with internal security policies, data governance frameworks and regulatory requirements.

* Drive continuous improvement through automation, optimisation, and platform enhancements

You’re a senior data operations leader who understands how technology, operations, and commercial outcomes intersect. You know how to keep complex data platforms running at scale, lead teams under pressure, and deliver reliable data that the business depends on.

You’ll bring with you :

• Significant experience leading data or business intelligence operations teams 
• Strong understanding of end-to-end data platforms, pipelines, and reporting ecosystems 
• Strong experience operating modern data platforms including Databricks and event streaming technologies such as Kafka 
• Proven capability running large-scale data environments on Amazon Web Services, including warehousing and streaming architectures 
• Proven ability to manage business-critical systems in production with a focus on reliability and performance 
• Experienced in incident management, service levels, and operational performance 
• Proven experience driving FinOps practices, optimising cloud expenditure (e.g., AWS, Databricks) and maximizing platform ROI.
• Ability to translate business needs into data solutions and clearly communicate risks, issues, and impact 
• Strong understanding of the operational and commercial implications of data platform decisions
