This role is ideal for a data-driven professional passionate about personalization and user engagement. You will design, build, and deploy sophisticated recommendation models to optimize user experiences across digital platforms. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will identify business problems, develop innovative solutions, and ensure seamless integration of data science initiatives. The position offers opportunities to lead projects, influence strategic decisions, and implement cutting-edge machine learning techniques. Accountabilities:

  • Serve as a technical leader within the data science team, fostering collaboration and innovation.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify business challenges and design impactful personalization initiatives.
  • Architect, build, and deploy recommendation engines and advanced personalization models, including two-tower models and other ML techniques.
  • Take ownership of data science project components, define roadmaps, and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers and ML Engineers to ensure smooth integration, deployment, and production readiness.
  • Contribute to the evolution of data science infrastructure and champion best practices.
  • Present solutions and recommendations to diverse audiences, including senior leadership, using data-driven insights and compelling visualizations.


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of industry experience as a Data Scientist, ML Engineer, or similar role.
  • Proven track record designing, prototyping, scaling, and deploying recommendation engines or other personalization solutions.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with software engineering best practices.
  • Deep understanding of machine learning lifecycle, algorithms, and domains.
  • Knowledge of data engineering practices, including data pipelines, processing, and storage (e.g., Spark).
  • Experience collaborating with diverse business stakeholders and translating their needs into technical solutions.
  • Ability to communicate complex topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with automation and orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster, DBT, or Cron.
  • Knowledge of the sports betting industry is a plus but not required.
