Role Overview
As Senior Commercial Planning & CVM Sports Manager, you will drive sports commercial success in the French market through strategic customer value management and compelling promotional propositions. Managing one specialist on the France country team, you will develop and optimise custom commercial plans. You will also build CVM strategies that position our sports offering for podium performance in this critical market.
We need a Senior Commercial Planning & CVM Sports Manager who can elevate France's sports commercial and customer value strategies to achieve podium positioning in this highly competitive market. Building on our existing market strategy, you will own sports commercial performance whilst developing tailored approaches that reflect local player preferences and competitive dynamics.
You will balance customer value management with commercial planning whilst managing the sports offset budget and partnering with local marketing teams to drive towards podium positioning.
What you’ll do:
Develop and optimise comprehensive commercial plan and CVM strategy specifically for the French sports market, building on existing foundations to achieve podium market positioning.
Own sports offset budget for France, ensuring efficient allocation and strong ROI across customer acquisition and retention to drive competitive performance.
Plan and complete promotional campaigns, working closely with local marketing teams to ensure culturally relevant delivery that differentiates our offering.
Build France-specific segmentation strategies by analysing local customer behaviour, preferences, and competitive landscape to find opportunities for market share growth.
Analyse commercial and CVM performance, extracting insights to continuously optimise strategies and drive revenue growth towards podium positioning.
Work with the Betting lead for the region to ensure product requirements are captured and prioritised to deliver for our French proposition
Align with our Trading teams to ensure a localised, market leading betting proposition for the French market
Lead and develop one specialist, providing strategic direction and coaching whilst building local commercial expertise within the France team.
Collaborate with Commercial/CVM Lead for France and vertical counterparts to ensure aligned execution across poker, sports, and sports operations.
Stay informed about French market trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory developments to maintain strategic advantage.
What you’ll bring:
3+ years proven experience in commercial and customer value management within Sports Betting, with demonstrated ability to develop competitive market strategies.
French language fluency essential, with native or near-native proficiency to understand cultural nuances and competitive positioning.
Strong knowledge of French sports market highly preferable, with understanding of player preferences, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment.
Expertise across both customer value management and commercial planning, with ability to balance segmentation strategy with promotional execution.
Strong analytical skills with ability to extract insights from customer data and competitive analysis to inform market positioning strategies.
Budget management experience with proven ability to allocate resources efficiently and demonstrate strong ROI in competitive markets.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, building relationships with vertical leads, marketing teams, and central commercial functions.
Critical thinking with ambition to drive podium positioning through innovative commercial approaches tailored to French market characteristics.
Leadership experience managing and developing specialist team members.
Outstanding communication and presentation skills in French and English.
Competitive approach with drive to achieve market leadership through optimised commercial and CVM strategies.
