Let's start with the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join our dynamic and fast-growing BI & Analytics team at Kaizen Gaming. As part of our continued expansion, this role will be instrumental in driving the next phase of our exciting scale-up data journey. 

You will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and optimizing state of the art data products that deliver actionable analytics and insights to the organization. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of an innovative, data-driven environment where your contributions will directly influence the growth and success of Kaizen Gaming in the rapidly evolving gaming industry.

As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, you will:
  • Review data requirements based on the upcoming business needs of the departments you support, in collaboration with Product Owners, and translate them into actionable technical specifications.
  • Develop comprehensive data analytics solutions, incorporating self-service functionalities to analyze and visualize trends.
  • Evaluate, develop and redefine established key metrics.
  • Maintain, enhance, and optimize dashboards and reports to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and alignment with business needs.
  • Monitor data flows and pipelines in Databricks under a Unity Catalog model to support reporting needs. 
  • Communicate insights and recommendations effectively to stakeholders to facilitate informed business decisions.
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Contribute to establishing a strong data culture across the organization.
  • Work closely with Engineers to optimize and enhance the effectiveness of data flows and products.
  • Safeguard and promote the Company's Data Governance Strategy. 
  • Coach and mentor other team members in collaboration with Team Lead, helping them grow their skills.

 

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or similar.
  • 4+ years of experience in reporting, BI, or other quantitative roles.
  • Exceptional coding skills, particularly in SQL and Python.
  • Proficient in Power BI or other dashboarding tools such as Tableau.
  • Knowledge of designing and using data models.
  • Experience with Jira and Scrum methodology.
  • Experience with Data Build Tools (dbt) is a plus.
  • Experience working with Databricks and Genie is a plus.
  • Data-driven mindset with analytical focus and attention to detail.
  • Strong storytelling skills with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage senior stakeholders under pressure and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Strong prioritization skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and identify opportunities with minimal supervision.
  • High-drive, can-do attitude; proactive and flexible to changing business demands.
  • Fluency in English.
