THE JOB:

The Senior Business Data Analyst role demands a balanced combination of strategic thinking, advanced technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and strong business acumen. The ideal candidate will excel in stakeholder management, adeptly navigating conflicting priorities, leading high-impact meetings, and fostering trust across both technical teams and executive leadership. Responsibilities include driving quality assurance initiatives to ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance with internal standards. Additionally, the role involves mentoring and developing Business Analysts, contributing to the growth of analytical capabilities across the organization.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Drive cross-functional collaboration with senior leadership, project managers, and technical teams to execute large-scale data initiatives, including new data ingestion and tooling enhancements.

• Lead quality initiatives by developing test strategies, automation frameworks, and robust QA standards to ensure timely delivery of high-integrity data solutions.

• Act as a strategic liaison between engineering, product, and business stakeholders to enforce data governance, standardized naming conventions, and consistent data transformations.

• Define and communicate quality metrics and actionable insights to executive stakeholders, building confidence in data accuracy and reliability.

• Champion continuous improvement in data quality and analytics by aligning with emerging technologies and evolving industry standards.

• Mentor and develop business analysts, while supporting data governance through documentation of data lineage, standards, policies, and audit processes.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in business analytics, project management, process improvement, or quality assurance.

• Proficient in business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), Microsoft Office Suite, and experienced with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Strong technical skills including advanced SQL and scripting languages such as Python and Java.

• Excellent communication, analytical, leadership, and problem-solving abilities, with a proven ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.

• Experience with modern data platforms, including cloud-based Data Governance and Data Quality tools (e.g., Alation) and Databricks (preferred).
