Job Description

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in coordinating external audits and preparing Statutory Financial Statements in line with statutory reporting requirements.

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in our financial operations and will be primarily responsible for coordinating external audits, meticulously preparing statutory financial statements in line with regulatory requirements and providing full support for the completion of year-end tax packs.

In this dynamic role, you will collaborate closely with various departments, fostering strong relationships to gather essential financial information. Your proactive approach to systems, policy, and process management will be crucial in driving efficiency and innovation within the team. By contributing to the financial integrity of our operations, you will help shape the future of our financial reporting and compliance efforts, making a significant impact on the overall success of the organisation.

This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.

Qualifications

  • ACCA or CIMA qualified.
  • Proficiency in the preparation of statutory financial statements in accordance with statutory reporting requirements.
  • Experience in completing year-end tax packs and responding to tax department queries.
  • Strong understanding and ability to maintain departmental systems, policies and procedures.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of legislation regarding various country regulations.
  • Ability to liaise with stakeholders of all levels to gather information and ensure a clear understanding of the financial positioning.
  • An ethical and integrity-based approach to all aspects of the role.
  • A questioning and tenacious mindset, with a willingness to introduce and implement efficient improvements to the reporting process.

Additional Information

  • Coordinating external audits, including audit planning and providing relevant financial information.
  • Ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the audit process.
  • Preparing statutory financial statements in accordance with reporting requirements.
  • Ensuring financial statements are completed in line with internal deadlines and filed with regulatory bodies.
  • Liaising with stakeholders to gather information for the preparation of financial statements.
  • Completing year-end tax packs.
  • Responding to queries from internal departments including the Tax department in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining and sharing knowledge amongst the team of departmental systems, policies and procedures.
