ABOUT THE ROLE
The Sanitary Design Engineer is responsible for the design, coordination, and delivery of plumbing and fire protection systems for building projects. The role focuses on system design, hydraulic calculations, BIM coordination, and technical documentation, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and project requirements.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Design plumbing systems including water supply, drainage, and stormwater systems.
  • Design fire protection systems including sprinklers, hydrants, pump stations, and inert gas suppression systems.
  • Develop layouts, schematics, and BIM models using AutoCAD, Revit, and MagiCAD.
  • Perform hydraulic calculations for plumbing and fire protection systems.
  • Size pipes, fittings, valves, and related equipment.
  • Select equipment such as pumps, tanks, sprinklers, valves, and inert gas systems.
  • Prepare complete technical documentation: drawings, BOQs, technical reports, and specifications.
  • Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other MEP disciplines.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations (I9/2015, P118/2025, NP086, NP127, EN 12845, EN 671, NFPA 13, NFPA 2001).
  • Provide technical support during construction and installation phases.
  • Stay updated with industry standards, tools, and technologies.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Building Services Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in plumbing and fire protection system design.
  • Technical & Practical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of plumbing and fire protection systems.
    • Proficiency in Revit (mandatory), MagiCAD, and AutoCAD.
    • Experience with hydraulic calculation software (advantage).
    • Good understanding of international and local fire protection standards 
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Good time management and organizational skills.
