Join our Safer Gambling team in Brisbane and play a meaningful role in helping customers enjoy betting responsibly. You’ll support customers where risk is identified, offering clear guidance to promote sustainability and reduce potential harm. Your work helps protect our customers while supporting the integrity of our Ladbrokes and Neds brands.

As a Safer Gambling Compliance Officer, you’ll deliver harm minimisation initiatives in line with legislative and regulatory requirements, while working closely with teams across Risk, Trading, and Client Services. This role suits someone who is curious, thoughtful, and confident navigating sensitive conversations, offering the chance to build specialist skills that will support your growth in compliance and customer engagement.

A Day in the Life:

This role is based in Brisbane, working standard hours from Sunday to Thursday. We embrace a flexible hybrid model, combining in-office collaboration with the freedom to work from home. Here’s a snapshot of your day:

  • Ensure compliance with the Gambling Act, Racing Act, and all harm minimisation obligations.
  • Monitor customer activity and implement harm minimisation and exclusion processes promptly.
  • Analyse data and reports to identify risks, improve outcomes, and escalate issues with recommendations.
  • Prepare accurate harm minimisation reports and provide actionable insights to management.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and deliver safer betting training.
  • Share knowledge and best practices to support a culture of responsible gambling.
  • Promote safer betting while delivering respectful, customer-focused outcomes.

Your Strengths:

  • Experience in regulated or compliance-driven environments, ideally within the wagering sector.
  • Knowledge of harm minimisation or responsible gambling is highly desirable.
  • Confident using computer systems, including Salesforce and Microsoft Office, is desirable.
  • Strong customer relationship skills with a consistent focus on service excellence.
  • Empathetic, non-judgemental communicator with strong reflective listening skills.
  • Calm, objective, and professional when handling sensitive or challenging situations.
  • Curious and proactive, with a strong desire to learn and contribute ideas.
